Damian Arvizu is a debut author who has lived several lifetimes and careers:

He’s been a computer programmer, and a teacher. In his youth, he once thought of himself as an actor and singer. Now, in his fifties, he is attempting a new life, as an author.

Damian has carried an enormous love of all things imaginative. Throughout his life, science fiction, fantasy, and horror have remained a constant fascination for the man. His earliest memories was watching Star Wars at a drive in theatre. There are early photos of him, as a toddler, staring glassy eyed at a television as Japanese men in monster costumes destroy an artificial countryside.

By 1979, it was no surprise that he fixated onto Dungeons and Dragons. This creative outlet has inspired him to tell stories as a way to entertain and excite. His love of painting models comes from Dragon Magazine, where he saw glossy photos of painted skeletons, wizards, and dragons. Though Damian was intimidated by the craft, in 1999, one of his friends taught him the basics. Painting models have become an absolute obsession for the man.

Now, in the mid-2020s, Damian is ready to share his largest and most ambitious writing: a novel about the humble goblin.
